FAC MINISTRIES
home bible study
FAC's Home Bible Study (HBS) Ministry is the flagship ministry of our church. In our HBS Ministry, teachers are equipped with Home Bible Studies 101, a 26-lesson series that takes the student through the step by step. FAC's HBS ministry is lead by Frank and Debbie Westfall. Frank and Debbie's testimony is one that is saturated with learning more about Jesus Christ through FAC's HBS Ministry when they first began attending services. There are currently over 25 HBS teachers at FAC that are all passionate about helping others learn more about Jesus.
FAC Kids
FAC Kids creates an exciting atmosphere every Sunday Morning for children to learn about Jesus. Our FAC Kids is divided into three groups: Toddlers (18 months - 3 years old), Beginners (age 4 - 1st grade) and Primary (2nd - 4th grade). Ashley Hockaday is our FAC Kids Director. Ashley and her team is always excited to welcome children into class to worship and learn.
Trendsetters
Trendsetters is FAC's college and career ministry, which ministers to young singles through 30 years old. Our Trendsetters group meets a few times each month. Rev. George and Morgan Akers are the Trendsetters youth pastors. They are passionate about helping young adults be successful in God and in the world. They promote spiritual as well as practical teachings to encourage growth.
JOY
JOY stands for Just Older Youth. Our JOY ministry is for our 55+ years old saints. Our joy group meets several times a year for fun activities including: out of town trips, shopping, fishing, cookouts, dinner parties and more! Karen Williams is the JOY group leader. Karen is a vibrant leader who encourages JOY members to laugh, love and lead the next generations.
NewComers
FAC's Newcomers Ministry is designed to help those who come to FAC learn more about how to become involved in ministry and draw continue to draw closer to God. Jimi and Tammy Holder are the Newcomers Ministry leaders. They are actively involved in helping each person learn more about FAC and find their place in the FAC Family.
WE
WE is our Women's Esprit group that ministers to the ladies of FAC. Mechelle Hash is the leader of FAC's WE ministry. Our WE group meets several times each year for special outings, fellowship, and prayer. Our WE group also meets once each month on a Wednesday night at our Breakout Session, when the ladies will recieve a special teaching from our Pastor's wife.
FAC Music Ministry
FAC's Music Ministry is active in helping to create an atmosphere of worship at every gathering. Our Music Ministry includes: Band, Frontline Singers, Sanctuary Choir, Children's Choir, Special Groups and Solos. Our Music Ministry is featured many times throughout the year, including our annual Christmas Concert and Night of Worship. Hillary Dunn is the FAC Music Minister. Her passion is to create opportunity for Spirit Led Praise and Worship.
Carved Out
Carved Out (CO) is FAC's youth ministry, which ministers to young people in grades 5 through 12. Our CO group meets every Sunday and at least once a month for special activities. Rev. Adam and Kayla Akers are the CO youth pastors. They are dedicated to helping young people navigate the formidable years, while relying of Jesus for direction and help.
Life Builders
Life Builders is FAC's adult ministry, which ministers to married couples and singles from 30-55 years old. Our Life Builders group has several events throughout the year, including: cookouts, dinners, marriage weekend and out of town trips. Pastor George & Annie Akers lead our Life Builders ministry. They encourage individuals and couples to daily continue their spiritual growth.
Prison Ministry
FAC's Prison Ministry ministers weekly to Sanford's local Correctional Facility. Each week the FAC Prison Ministry team endeavors to help those the the facility to draw closer to Jesus Christ through bible study, prayer and devotion. Rev. Phillip Helms leads FAC's Prison Ministry team. Rev. Helms and his team show their burden in their consistency and love toward this ministry.
MEN istry
MENistry is FAC's ministry to the men of the church. Shelby Hash is the leader of this men's ministry. Our MENistry group meets several times through the year for fellowship and prayer. Our MENistry also meets once each month on a Wednesday night at our Breakout Session, when they receive a special teaching from our Pastor.
